im not dumb enough to find the top end of my car around here cause the roads suck and theres no race tracks that are cheap to race on.........so i know this question has been asked,sorry im new here but what is the top speed for a non turbo 91 gxl rx-7? does anyone seriously know?

I don't know and I don't care to know because I don't think my car has enough downforce to keep it stuck on the road at such high speeds. I'm guessing maybe in the 140 mph range though...

If it's stock then 130 mph is about right.

my GTU maxes out in 4th gear at like 135 when i go into 5th it has NOTHING

I'd guess about 146. I can vouch that an '87 SE w/ a brand new motor topped out at 146...you may be a little slower though due to weight.

My 90 GXl would only top out at about 130ish, but that was about 15,000 miles before my engine blew.

i hit 140 in my TII pretty easily. i let off cause the front brake rotors were warped :smilewinkgrin:
