No, its never moved actually. Its not a perfect fit, but its the closest I could get without unbolting the quarter panels (both of which are original and untouched) and moving them. In any case, whether the bumper doesnt fit right, or the quarter panels dont really line up with the hood & doors, its not going to be perfect. And using body filler on fiberglass is NOT an option. So, its the best its going to get without me spending a ton of money re-glassing the bumper.

dont be offended, im not dissing your car. my bumper had to be re-glassed like a mother just to get close to a proper fit.

I'm just saying in the pics on 2751engineering.com i dunno maybe its the angle or the sunlight but it lookeed like the top of your bumper was flush with the top of the front fenders. then in this pic it looks like it sank a little.

almost every fc2k front ive seen lines up like that, the bumper being a tad lower then the fenders. i had always remembered your other pics and swore yours was completely flush, thats why i had rob re-glass mine flush cause i figured yours was authentic and i thought it was flush.

no biggie, car still looks sick and im sure drives like a beast.

again, no offense intended.

Yea, i've got the real one. Aside from wanting quality parts for my car, i went w/ the authentic because i thought it would have a better fit. I'm using the FCPRO fenders from RE though too...so maybe it'll all go together just fine.. I'm still getting my front end work out before putting the body back on. Once the engine goes in, i'll throw them on to see how the fit is.

Side note, I have a video (sure you've seen it) of the white FC of RE Amemiyas and at no angle does the front end look like it doesnt line up.. same w/ the pics of the Tokyo auto saloon..but again, it's using their fenders, so that may be it...

meh i paid extra for the fenders to lineup so it doesnt bother me. i was just saying i always thought seth;s car lined up perfectly. i swear in the other pics it did. i just thought something happened and it moved. like 90% of the cars i see have the bumper the same way on stock fenders, maybe thats just how it is on stock fenders.

i guess well see when you put on the bumper with their fenders. id guess itll line up perfect.

I have never seen a aftermarket bumper and fender kit that DIDNT need work to fit good.

One320B 03-14-2006 10:46 AM

Oh yea..my body guy already loves me and all he's done is some metal work up front to straighten out a few things and mock up brake ducts.. lol... I just want good clean lines damnit! I know things dont always match up perfectly..but i'm hoping w/ the right fenders to match the front that it should...
