Well I drove the car for the first time, just around my block, not really a block cuz my neightbor hood is weird, but thats not the point. I forgot to plug in my speedo so I don't know how fast I was going, but I went to 3-4K in 3rd, and barely got into 4th.

The car is idleing at 1,500-2000 RPM. I am having to slip the clutch a lot since I haven't finished bleeding it. And there still seems to be a little bit of vibration, nothing really bad, but I am only revving to 4K so it mught be worse up top, only time will tell. Even though it has been a long time I can definatly say the car feels quicker than I remember no that I have an exhaust and light flywheel (got the back end to step out a little bit in the rain ) There is a little hit of smoke and the car smells bad, but this might be normal since its a fresh rebuild and I am not running a cat, just pre-silencer.

My volt gauge is pegged all the time, even after I swapped alternators. I think that I broke it when attempting to fix the other gauges, the temp doesn't work, once again I think I broke it while attempting to fix the oil gauge. Right now I have a mechanical Oil pressure gague, and I need a different one cuz I am alomst pegging the needle (only goes to 80psi). I am seeing about 50-60psi with it idling at 2,000 RPM.

I am happy as a pig in **** right now

How many miles do oyu have on the rebuild? You should really be hitting the throttle too much on a fresh engine.

I didn't really hit the throttle at all, it had just got done down pouring, and the tires are pretty old, worn out and way to big (235's on phone dial, don't blame me it came that way).

The only thing that bothers me is when I got back from a drive again, there was smoke coming off the manifold, hopefully the 1500 degree paint I put on the heat shields was still burning off. The thing that was really bothering me was the fact that the vibration felt a little worse this time, the only thing that was differece was the temp, quite a bit cooler durning the second trip.
