i managed to get the top and bottom bolt out with ease, but the 3rd bolt (the one thats angled) i cant seem to find the right socket for.... 21mm perhaps?



hopefully i can get these axles out tomorrow...

You will nd a pretty stong impact gun to get the axle nutt off.

lol... not necessary... i got one of them off this afternoon with my breaker bar... (before changing my mind)



but anyways... thats not the bolt im talking about, theres 2 17mm bolts and one other one (which i now know is a 21mm) that i need to remove to take the whole hub/axle out...

Yeah its a peice of cake, I just did a five lug swap. A standard size socket seemed to work better for me, dont recall the size though.

well... i got as far as removing the 17mm bolts... i cant budge the 21mm...



i soaked it with PB blaster, tapped on it, pounded on it... ugh!



any tips... (i have an air compressor, but waiting for an electrician to give me a quote on hooking it up)



on the good side, i did buy a hand impact tool and got the rusty screws out of my brake disc https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif

those 21 bolts can be a real pain in the ass. But it depends from car to car. first fc they came off easy peasy. On this car im pretty sure i had to bust out the breaker bar, and maybe the jack handle extension method.

i guess i cant put out enough torque on a regular wrench to budge it...

I installed my DTSS eliminator bushings a couple weeks ago. Here is my setup: PB blaster + propane torch + breaker bar = success



Spray the PB blaster, then heat up the area around the end of the bolt, the heat will help the blaster penetrate deeper. Repeat 5 or so times then give it a shot with the bar.



I spent about 5 minutes with a 600 ft-lb impact gun before I realized that wasn't enough...
