I just want to say thanks for you work man. It is good to see those kinda of temp drops with the stock intercooler.

That duct does work. I have always argued that it did. People who say that low pressure area doesnt allow air to flow in. Yeah, they need to learn about low pressure and what it means. When an airplane flies their is low pressure above the wing. This is why it flies.

The people that believe the stock duct does not work also would have to believe this. When a wing is going 150 mph there is no airflow across the top of the wing. You could even stand there. Yeah, right.

Ok, back to your post. At 130 mph you have a 149F drop. That is amazing! That TMIC works and works well. It just may need a little help.

I really was getting fired up to do the FMIC intercooler setup that Scott89tii did on the other forum. But started to think differently about. I do not want to do it anymore.

I want to do water injection. It really seems that with water injection you can make that TMIC act like a FMIC. With the benifits of less weight, less tubing, less lag, no cutting, less bends, less money. ETC

I will be doing it when the TII is in Texas in prob six months. Can't wait.

I am glad to see that those gauges work for that type of application. Beats paying over 200 bones for the autometer one. And even more for the two channel autometer intake temp gauge.

He soak still blows, around town temps are WAY to high for me. Only time I would see decent temps are on the freeway from 70-130+

Here's a turbo brick (volvo 740) IC temp, but he is only running 7.5 PSI. And it is an FMIC

That is a really nice chart for that Volvo IC. Thanks.

Yeah, heat soak does suck. That would be the worst part of the stock IC. I suppose the one advantage to going with water injection is if it doesnt work well with the stock IC you can always do it. You will still be ahead.

Found a place in Texas that sells the 1S system for 420.

Thanks James. When you coming back up here?? My numbers have changed now with the new intake. I am also looking for a small fan to place underneath the intercooler to try to help the heat soaking problem. I also built a N2O sprayer and am building an alcohol injection system.

We gotta race next time you come up here. I'm boosting 16 now with alot of other mods done, so be prepared https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
