has anyone tried runing a tII manifold on a n/a motor, if so can you explain the pros and cons, I bought a 91 gxl the guy that owned the car used 3rd gen housings that are ported, and street ported the intake side but the car feels like it has no torque,by the way the car is missing the air pump and acv also the car has a full racing beat exhaust, the six ports are wired open and the valve on the manifold is also wired open, can anyone help please.

Like a broken record, these guys.

So anyways -

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking. What is your EXACT question.

I've done it on an N/A car, and ran it N/A? More power than stock for sure, but that's just by feel. It was like factory torque actually leading up to about 5500ish, then it just kept producing power and pulling harder until red. But I also had exhaust and no AFM (which I believe is a big flow hinderance).

You'd be ditching the six ports entirely doing that, they would always be open. The flow sucks *** trying to match up a TII LIM to a 6p block, but it works. And it works better than a factory manifold.

Theres no point in swapping the intake manifold unless you're strapping a turbo on as well.

I had a T2 Upper Manifold on my 6 port (when I converted it to a Turbo motor). Now I have a S6 UIM on my 6 port motor. The S6 overs straighter runners and a larger Throttle Body, But again this is for a Turbo Motor. I like the additional timing of the 6 ports so I used 6 port end plates when I rebuilt my motor.

Your motor is low on torque due to the 6 ports being open all the time. The 6 port offers additional intake timing simular to a mild bridge port. While this is great on the top end the bottom end suffers.

Philosophy class is down the hall, kid. Get going.

Listen Rem tec, if you got the LIM already port matched, you're really only a small part of the way there. You're going to have to worry about the throttle cable, vacuum rack, relocating the AFM, etc. It's really not worth it unless you aren't using a factory ECU. Chances are with an aftermarket computer you will gain the ability to ditch all the factory components standing in your way, and you can adjust your fuel maps to the changes your motor will see from a completely different breath. I only see you running into a heap of small problems along the way with the factory ECU, while never having the proper fuel map to get the full power out of the swap. Mine was a breeze since I wasn't using the factory computer anymore, which is why I did it. TII intake sitting around - Hey I own a die grinder. It was no work to make it happen.
