TII Issue

To whom can help me,
I recently did a TII swap into to my 87 N/A. Other than a small oil leak off of the front pan, everything was great. After letting the car sit for about a month of not starting or driving it, I decided to take it out for a spin. Car started up fine, idled perfectly, but when I actually went to drive it I began to notice a problem. Under a light throttle load, the car would accelerate as normal, but under a heavy throttle load, the car seemed as thought it was dragging ***. It seemed like either the catalytic converter was severely clogged, or the ebrake was locked up. Through I know that neither of these conditions could possibly occur due to the fact that I do not have a cat on the car, and the ebrake cable was not bound because this issue did not occur when the engine was under a light load. I am not sure where to start in this situation as I am not used to the turbo engine and would appreciate any help in diagnosing this problem. Thank you.

I have limited experience with turbo engines as well but, does the problem correct its self when you let off(less throttle)? Can you maintain a low level of throttle without issue? I'm wondering about the secondaries and thier injectors I guess, are they: new, rebuilt, stock, upgraded, working, working too much?
Info on the style and type of engine and engine management might help to have others chime in as well.

The issue does not seem to occur at low throttle, that is not to say that the problem corrects itself and everything is fine. The TPS is probably reading < 50%. The secondaries are blue printed and balanced 720's. As for the engine management, it is an Rtek 2.1 system. The engine is a rebuilt S4 TII engine all stock specs, same for the turbo.

Did it have that size secondaries originally? What you are describing sounds kind of like its dumping buckets of fuel into the mix once the secondaries kick in. Maybe 550's would cure the problem? I'm just spitballing here as I'm not sure what's going on exactly but im sure its happened to someone before.

The secondaries were fine when I purchased them, for ease of mind and a lighter wallet I decided to have them blue printed and balanced, not issues with them. I think you are misunderstanding what I diagnosed the problem as, the issue is with the load on the engine, not just the rpm. If I am cruising with the TPS below 50% throttle, the issue does not occur no matter where in the rpm band it is. If I am at a stand still or already moving and I put my foot down on the throttle, higher load on the engine with TPS above 50% throttle, the issue presents itself. The turbo spools but engine rpm does not accelerate.
I describing this I just thought that maybe it could be a transmission issue? It is a 5 speed. Hopefully this helps. Let me know if what I wrote is confusing. Thanks.

did the TII have the 6 port? if so they have the butterfly valves in the intake manifold that should open under load. if they don't they're either stuck or the vaccuum controls are jacked up, limiting how much air is getting into there. best of luck man.
