yes i need one ive been looking around and ive found 2 places that sell them, one place wanted 1200 for the engine intercooler and ecu with a warranty and under 50k miles which isnt bad, i found another place that sells the tII engine intercooler and tranny for 500 (plus shipping) or the entire s5 tII front clip for 1700... but im kind of skeptical about this because the stuff looks kind of haggard but its still a good price, the engines are gauranteed to work but i might have to replace little things like rusty water pumps ect....

ok so now on to my problem, dont kill me please. i have a 90 Gtu and ive heard from a few people that a Gtu is just a turbo 2 (ie the drivetrain) minus the 13bt so if this is true a tII engine swap would be simple (well more simple and less expensive) but ive heard from others this isnt true (with my luck this is probably the truth) and i cannot find anything online about it so i need to know what the hell this is all about.

the next and last problem would be deciding where to get the tII engine intercooler and ecu any one know a good priced reliable site online where i could get these?

i have a 88 GTU and i have a 89 TII engine tranny ecu intercooler.....everything.. but sorry homie.. i wouldn't know what to tell you until i take off my tranny and compare them both. My guess is that they are the same i think the only diff between a TII and a GTU is that ur final gear on ur LSD are 4:31's rather than TII's having 4:11's (correct me if i'm wrong but thats what i was told)

From what I remember it's the car(GTU) itself that is similiar to the TII.

IE; performance suspension, larger wheels, LSD rear, etc.. But I would imagine your still going to need: Air Flow meter, CPU, complete wire harness. Not for nothing if you have the space that whole front-clip would be a nice deal and would ddefinitelyinsure you'll have all the parts you'll need to complete such a project. After all-is-said-and-done it would pprobablybe cheaper too.

a 90 "GTUs" is simular to the turbo... as in brakes and suspension. but not the "GTU" ...

all the N/A engines / drivetrains are the same for the year.

if you are planing on doing a turbo swap into a GTU.. you will have alot of work. you will want to change the brakes as well.
