Throttle Body Thermal Wax Adjustment

I'm trying to find out how to properly adjust the throttle arm on the back that comes into contact with the thermal wax setup. Is it supposed to touch the thermal wax "button" (don't know what to call it), or be backed off a certain amount? I'm looking at it with the manifold removed completely, so everything is cold.
