So what's the deal? Is this mod a good thing or not? I've already done it to a spare throttle body and I'm getting ready to put it on the car, so I'll have an opinion pretty soon myself. Of course, my car is used primarily for racing. Let's hear some opinions....

I like mine. I removed almost all of the stuff from the TB, I left the thermowax on to help with cold starts. It is pretty ported, but not MAX ported. The engine is stock, no porting, no exhaust, just a cone filter. Runs great, good throttle response, I dont notice any jerkyness unless I am trying to cruise at 1500 rpm in first gear.

I like the throttle response. I don't like having to hold the gas until it warms up, but I think it's worth it. If there's any added jerkiness, I either can't tell or I've gotten used to it.

I like the response too but I'm having some of the probs revvin was.. its too touchy around the street, sometimes the car jerks when I pull out (that didn't sound good) and it looks like I'm just learning to drive stick or something

meh, I got fed up with the thermowax and stuff always being in the way whenever I took off the TB, so i decided to ditch it all and port it out. I am happy with the results. It was more responsive and gave it just a tad more power. Mine idles fine, hot and cold.

Overall would I do it again? If I was alone on a saturday night and really bored.

I think this mod is awsome. Because of it my turbo spools up about 300rpm faster and spools harder now. Throttle response is good too, drives completely different then before.

don't do it unless you have a standalone, you car is slow without one anyway, so the tb mod won't do much but possibly cause more probs than good, like mikey said

I like my TB mod, has great response and i only have to give it a little touch of the gas to get it started...but i also have standalone to correct my idle.
