Turbo envy? **** no, Wanting MY car to be faster? Again, no. Not affording a TII, **** NO, I can buy a FD this very day with cash if I wanted to. It was a THOUGHT, read the title " A THOUGHT". Im the first one to tell N/A people to leave the car alone, dont bother. Vosco's $500 TII- if you could have found someone to buy that thing who actually has seen it in person for $3000, you would have done it aloooooooooong time ago. Me and Jim seen a TII for sale by me right before he moved, I wouldnt have given the guy $200 for the piece of ****. A THOUGHT, thats the title. You people talk about a TII like its the second coming of christ. Its a 14/15 second car in stock form. Oh but if you remove all the emissions, bolt on every part to the thing that Mazda DIDNT MAKE, then you get some speed out of the car, if you tune it right that is. I NEVER said to a N/A owner to mod thier car, I tell them its a waste of time, and have always said its a waste of time. Another fact is that- now read this carefully, VERY carefully- Most of the TII out there get hacked to death by people who have neither the skill nor the resources to mod thier car. NOT EVERYONE, so dont jump down my throat unless you fit the hack profile. MY THOUGHT was instead of telling people to "JUST GET A TII", why not just say its a waste of time, any ******* moron can figure out it would be better to get a TII. And for the record I could give a **** about my car, only reason I got it was because some crack head was going into rehab and needed the money so I got the car DIRT cheap, so cheap it would make your head spin considering I got it 7 years ago. Next time Ill just post in the General Discussion section about some broad who doesnt exist instead of trying to get some traffic in the 2nd gen forum.

So you wanted a response, but only if it agreed with what you said?

You said you were trying to get some traffic, well this topic is on it's second page. What did you want?

OK, then don't get a T2, it is a terrible, terrible thing!

ummm i never wanted to sell my TII but $3000 would have made me. money talks anyway. my TII had nothing done to it and could keep up with brand new C5's. your point being???? had i started with a better chassis and kept the boost lower it would never have broken. i got greedy and paid for it. oh well i like my car and you like yours. live with it. its possible to find a nice TII but its easier to find a nice FD

N/a's do have their limits. Even with a streetport and full exhaust I am hoping to reach what a stock TII is putting out. I know it has been mentioned before but I think a turbo kit for N/A's would sell pretty good. I know there would be issues like the drivetrain etc., but there are a lot of people who would spend a decent amount of money to add some extra horsepower. Personally I think it would be kind of fun to turbo my n/a, a great learning experience. But it would probably take me a freaking year to get to done. :clown:

Yeah, TII's are ok, but they're not THAT great. The best is the scrubs who defend the RX-7 until they die. They usually have a $500 86 base that burns more oil than a Chinese restaurant, and has more dents than Hunter's car.

Traffic is one thing, being told I am in some way cheap by NOT having a TII, thats just crazy. Turbo envy- come on now. Right now I dont have a garage, and when I do, and have a place to put a car to work on it in any weather condition or time of night, then I dont know if a TII will be the car of choice. I dont LIKE my car, its just a car, Ive had plenty of cars, and motorcycles in my life, my vert is FAR from a car I would call "liking" If I didnt do body work and paint myself, and wasnt so **** about doing things a certain way, I wouldnt have bothered with the car. I have had this discussion with Jim before, if I did do either a TII conversion or a get a TII, I would want to keep it tame, in the 250-350 hp range, not run crazy boost, so that the car would last, not because im 'cheap', but because whats the enjoyment in a car that doesnt run?

P.S.- Now this is turning into a good discussion because quite frankly, the general discussion forum is turning to ****

I think the post in the other cars forum where it was said that a FD or a FC would be the car of choice over a AMG SL55 sent me over the edge, lol. This wasnt directed at the normal people, it was directed at those 1800RPM idle, 1 quart a day, 4 mis-matched tires, and your eyes tear and you almost pass out from the exaust cars out there.

The general discussion board wasnt ALL that bad, its still got some hope in there, just have to weed thru the **** to get to get to it

It seems pretty easy to wade through, when you see who started the topic, you should know whether or not to open it
