Un dolt the other one, and slide all of it off in one peice, the rotor caliper caliper braket and everything, you will nd another caliper and braket unless you can get the honker of a bolt out.

well... tried again tonite to get the ddts bolt out on the driver side... no luck... still cant get it to budge even after soaking the thing in pb blaster for the past 3 days...doesnt help when the brake dust cover and disc are in the way... even tried heating it up a bit, but decided to stop b4 melting the bushing itself and the cv boot...

so onto the pass. side... why couldnt the driver side go as smoothly? decided to try pulling just the hub this time... waaaaay easier... now i just need to find a better puller, my 3 prong 4" puller only pulled it 1/4" back b4 one of the lugs got in the way...

anyone in the WI area have access to a TIG welder and know how to use it... someone told me that you can build up whats left of that bolt, then weld a socket to it and ease it out that way...

oh and btw, ive been meaning to ask this... on 7's with 4 pot brakes up front, are the rear calipers different from those cars... or are the rear calipers all the same...

that would be the only difference?

wondering, cause if i dont have to swap the calipers between the 2 cars... that would be 1 less thing id have to worry about...

i know that already... i asked, cause the calipers on the parts car are ****... the ones on my project car are already brand new/rebuilt... the guy i bought the car from had the brakes done a few months b4 i bought it from him... so if i can save some money by not swapping the calipers, great! if not... that just means my car will be off the street that much longer...

well if you TIG something to the end of the bolt to get it out, thats certainly gonna melt the bushing you're worried about more than heating it with a torch. can you try an ez-out?
