yep... still working on this 5-lug swap of mine...

still couldnt get the toe control bolt loose, so decided to give a crack at removing just the hub and not the whole assembly... removed both the screws that hold the disc on, and started trying to remove the caliper... when i BROKE the head off the top caliper bolt.... ****** god damnit... i dont even know what to do... i cant remove the caliper with the remainder of the bolt stuck and still remove the disc to get at the hub... and i cant get the toe control bolt loose...

Unbolt the whole caliper bracket.

like the upper, lower and ddts bolts?

edit: ok i see... only problem im having there, is that i cant seem to break the ddts bolt loose... i would heat it up to break up the oxidation, but i also dont want to melt the bushing... any tips? would i be safe rigging up a long breaker bar... or would i risk also breaking the head off that bolt also https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.gif

no there are 2 caliper bolts and two caliper bracket bolts, at least IIRC. just remove the 2 bigger caliper bracket bolts to remove the whole caliper as one piece.

Is it the bracket or the "top caliper bolt"?

teknics 03-25-2007 05:26 PM

yea im gonna go with i dont have a clue. even if you snap a bracket bolt you should be able to take the other off and then just jockey the whole caliper assembly off.
