Thermo valve bypass

Can ya bypass the thermovalve thingy on a TII and what happens if you do?



We got the tranny back in, bled the clutch and it feels fine. Now to road test it on Saturday....

Are you talking about the thermowax garbage? If yes then you have to modify the fast idle cam to avoid a high idle.

Yeah that would be it, I was realllly tired last night. Figure as one of the vaccum lines was busted off and the car had high idle anyway.....



2nd question: Are the NA and TII part the same?

How do you modify the fast idle cam?



Can I just take the two vacuum lines that go into the thermo wax thingy and connect them? Do I have to cap the nipples on the thermo thing?

No, you remove the screw, pull out the spring, and then put the screw back in as far as it will go. I gave you a website to look at, remember?

So what do I do with the vacuum lines in question? One of the nipples is broken off, so I need to do something to avoid a vacuum leak.

I just put caps on the nipples, u can get them at local parts stores.
