Tach question

Is there a way i can re-cal my new tach i got for a rotary engine??? i know that you can re-cal the rotary tach for a v8..

rotary = 4 cylinder



the easy easy way is to plug the tach into the factory test plug, theres a female bullet connector on the trailing coil harness, by the brake master cylinder

i hooked it up to the the coil by the brake master cylinder (blue wire) and its not reading the same rpms as the original tach

i was testing it out today..,and when i rev to 4k, my new tach reads 2k

maybe hook it to the actual tach wire?
