duct tape works well. When I rebuilt the bolsters I built a mold, if you will, from poster board, used piano wire, similar to a rebar framework, and used the expanding insulating foam from home depot. The "mold" will usually buldge from expansion but the bolster can easily be shaped and NEVER loses form.
