OK i found a really good deal on some never used, as in 0 miles on some rx-7s motors.

1.3L 13BTT-G3 Turbo $2250

1.3L 13BTT-RE sequential Twin turbo $1875

now these are for the 93-95 and the cosmo right?

I know 3rd gens break like crazy, so is it a bad motor, and turbo? or the whole car? Does the RE break just as much as the normal 3rd gen motor?

i also need to get some motor **** straight. What are all the names of the 3rd gen motors and cosmos?



I would just go with a rebuilt 13BT over here but, for the same price i could have a brand new engine...but would i be gettin in over my head with a 3rd gen swap? I need a new drivetrain anyone since my n/a can't handle it, what do u guys think?

13B-REW - 93-95 FD engine twin turbo (big ports)

13B-RE - Cosmo twin turbo (bigger ports)

20B-RE - Cosmo twin turbo (biggest ports)



your best if your gonna drop in an engine into your FC is a 13B-RE cosmo engine and get the K2RD engine mounts so it drops in. you will need a new engine management system like a haltech E6K. you should know by now any rx7 can break from someone that doesn't know what they are doing. my FD engine lasted 90k miles with no problems. mostly people running to many mods and no upgraded ecu blew most of the engines...... if you get a new engine get the new tranny with it. although the cosmo's are automatic ? if so get a TII tranny they are VERY similar to FD tranny's. lemme know if you have more questions

yeah i was wondering about the tranny, so how much hp does the Re have?

265 or 280hp i think stock
