Good point......and another thing... to compensate for high SC speed you can change pulleys... but the downside is it will take more RPM to get to sustained boost ie you cant change boost pressure with pulley change you only change how fast the max boost is achieved

One thing I forgot.... this only pertains to roots type blowers not screw type...(ie Whipple Charger) which are far more efficient and do not heat the intake charge as much upon compression and can turn more RPM

Why not turbo AND supercharge?

I hate to say this, but that's not possible. I'll just leave U with this.....'think about it'.

And about the cost (between inatalling a turbo or SC), well this became my option because I already had a blower. I bought it to put on my truck, but I put a V-8 in it instead and the blower would have been too much for it. The only price that is a factor now is the accessories and some new parts. Just wonderin' if someone's done it.

I've seen it done on an 85 MR2 in an article in Car and Driver. With the way he had it set up he had 0 turbo lag. It was pretty sweet!

i have seen it on a small block but It was a magazine car and the write up said the car never ran right..... twin intercooled as well.............but anything is possible

Just sell the supercharger and go TII.

Lancia's group B rally car from the mid-80s was super-turbo charged....all it takes is money! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683827.gif

could you take a supercharger like that, put a really big pulley on it, and run like 3-4 psi boost with only minor support mods? I want to do something like that to make up for the loss of power at my altitude.

Wouldn't be worth the cost, but to answer your question yea, you could probably get away with just a bigger fuel pump, a dyno/widebando2 could tell you what you need.

If I was in your position I would just get some nitrous.
