Question

My sunroof is stuck in the tilted up position. Is there any way to fix this without taking the headliner down? Motor spins, but nothing happens? Busted cable? Help......

give it some help with your hand, they all do this

push the button and at the same time help the roof

with your hand.

You could try the manual crank. Its behind the round trim piece in the head liner. Turn it with an allen key. But if the motor is just spinnning then the flex drive is probably busted. Mine rusted and crumbled where the motor gear makes contact. I'm going to replace the entire assembly. You're probably going to have to take it all apart to close it.

I got it pushed down with my hand. Thanks Rob. It will pop up and down now without any problems. However, it will not slide back. Should I just try and lubricate the tracks? **** that doesn't work right really irritates me, I would like to get this fixed. I just really don't want to pull down the headliner.

Thanks.

you could try cleaning and lubing, otherwise get used to giving it

manual assistance.
