Well first off i spent a little over 6 grand restoreing a 90 convertable rx7 to original condition...the only difference though is a new memphis sound system. I get complimented on looks alot because the paintjob turned out great....but power is a different story...the engine is original with 130k miles and the transmission is an automatic which sometimes stops working in reverce....i would like some advice on the cheapest route i could take to atleast geat this car competeing with the camaros mustangs and firebirds at my school...also..about how much life is left in my engine..ive heard rumors that an rx-7 engine non turbo has a life of 100k-150k miles... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif

the thing is i was given 6 grand..and i spent it all on getting the thing to run and to run good..it also has redone interior and a dentless body....i just want something that can run with a z28 or a mustang.....shift kits maybe?

the engine life depends on how the engine was treated (i.e. good = long life) my engine has 160k and i deliver pizzas 4 days a week. (91 N/A) as for more power most people will say do a turbo swap. this is costly and time consuming but probably well worth it. how fast you want to go depends on how much you want to spend. a good way for some quick power, though, is a less restrictive exhaust and a better air filter or intake. also you might want to upgrade to some turbo drivetrain parts. good luck https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/BURNOUT.gif
