I just went and picked up my seven at the garage where it was getting its inspenction. When I got there to pick it up, the mechanic told me that I need a new front left strut b/c it is leaking pretty bad. The problem that I am running in to now, other that a shortage of cash, is that I also want to lower the car in the future and was wondering if there were specific struts that I sould get so that I dont blow them out when I drop the car b/c they are under constant pressure? I found a new set of Koni's for cheap on ebay, would those be good?

If they are specific for your car they should work well. Personally I am not too excited with the Illumina's on my car so I wouldn't go that route if I had a choice. Maybe find some used coilovers?

If you're just looking for something to get you by for a little while, just buy a pair of KYB GR2 from your local autoparts store. Don't buy just one the car will handle like ***, replace both fronts if you can. If you have a little more money then go for the AGX.

KYB AGX's are 129 a strut over on www.corksport.com if you can order online. It is pretty decent price. Or you can go ahead and get all 4 struts at the nopistons store for 445 bones.

I bought mine today, now all I have to do is find time to install them.

I could do just the fronts for $250 a pair. I've got them at the dist. warehouse, so if you get a hold of me by 3pm PDT I can ship them today.

I haven't sold any of the blue's, I have sold the lower end KYB's, I am very pleased with illumina's, I would expect the blue's to be similar in quality, but dunno.

i had the G2R's on my last car, they sucked. the only reason why they were any better than stock is cause the stockers were worn out. wish i had gone to blues now. are the AGX's or illumina's the higher quality?

I like the illumina's, but I have sold a pretty good number of the AGX's and gotten great feedback.

Honestly any of the lower end shocks are just going to be slightly if at all better then the stockers.
