i just bought a sexy style hood, and it doesnt clear my strut tower bar.

it does not clear a ovalshaft cusco, or a corksport bar.

are there any bars that are just as strong, but slimmer, thinner, lower towards the alternator?

thanks

i run the mazdatrix triangulated bar with motor toqure plate, the bar is light, strong and tucks close to the alt and is low in the engine bay. pricey but well worth every penny of the 325 price tag

I like that engine torque brace. Suppose that would be a good thing to have if I do a lot of drag racing?

To fit the sexystyle hood, you need a bar that runs infront of the alternator. The only strut bar I know of that does this is CP racing (which I heard is a shady company) bar, which still requires a tiny bit of cutting.. The Mazdatrix one MIGHT work.

if you like your new hood just ditch the bar because honestly I didn't notice any difference in handeling or car feel after I put mine in. But I could just be a novice at strut bars.

The Racing Beat bar sits forward and below the alternator.
