I've currently got the Tokico HPK Kit on my TII. I like the shocks, but not the springs, they don't sit low enough. I think Eibach makes them for Tokico, but I'm not sure.



In any case, the car sits nicely in the front, if not a tad too high, but the rear seems to sit up much higher than the front. I no likey this look.



What would be a good spring to match with the Tokico blues I'm currently running?



Any thoughts on Tanabe GF210's? I've seen them priced rather reasonably, but I'm not sure about the spring rates.

the spring section on mazdatrix is good, it gives spring rates and lowering numbers

Tanabe is the lowest kit I know of at 1.5 front and rear, the eibach set up is pretty conservative at .8.



I've been selling a lot of the Suspension techniques kits which are 1 front and rear.

phins' prices are the best on the ones he sells by quite a bit. check the specs at mazdatrix and then buy them from phins here at np.



the susp. tech ones look the best to me.

I thought the Eibach springs worked well, the ride height is perfect, and there is no chance of rubbing the tires on the fender well.

I have Tokico Struts all around with Eibach Springs. I include photos to show you the ride height. They have been on for over a year so they have settled. I don't know if it will be of any help at all for you.





The wheels are 17 inch with 225/45 ZR17 rubber on them.

There's no doubt Eibach sells a quality product, however there are a lot of people who feel the .8 drop isn't enough.

The 0.8 inch or so drop on my car was plenty for my tastes. It was noticeable. I really do not like the look of the wheel hidden up in the wheel well.



I actaully saw an Acura that was lowered so much it was making sparks when it hit bumps. When I got closer to it, the sparks were coming from two ball hitches turned upsided down and bolted on one of the cross members across the back of the car. looked very, very stupid.

Tein makes springs for us too 1" front/back with 135 lb rate which is probably not high enough. Intrax makes 1.5" but their rates are too low and you'll bottom and kill the shocks in no time. I think the pro-kits are the best compromise for a street spring. The GC's don't go much lower than the pro kits but thats just the way it is if you want to keep stock type struts because of the lack of travel. You can custom order GC's with shorter springs and higher rates but again, who knows how long any stock length strut will last with that.

on the race car we spaced the strut tops in the rear up about an inch, so the top is above the body of the car. suprisingly its not a problem, we have bent a few front camber plates but no rears
