Thumbs up

When I first met my partner 9 years ago her older brother had an RX7 which I'll try and discribe to you as best I can. I only saw it a couple of times but I'm trying to find out what it was and if there are any pics around.

It was

- Possibly 1986 or 1988 (could have been a series 4)

- Turbo

- White with gray sections along the bottom of the doors with Special Edition RX7 written in green on each side.

-Had a spoiler that went around the back window. From memory it went possibly from the top of the roof down the sides and along the back.

Thats about all I remember. Hope this gives some of you an idea.

No special edition FC's were made, Besides the 10Th AE. There was an option for an "aero kit" from the dealer with a massive thick wing that went way farther up that the turbo style spoiler. As for the decals.. probably dealer stuff as well.

And the 10AE ain't that special either to be honest. Only thing special is the limited number made.

Oh you sir are wrong. There was a S5 TII that has a distinct blue/white paint job, had different wheels, I can't find the pics any more, but it was named after a rotary racer in the 80's.

there couldve been a few "special editions" done by rotary tuners in the area, much like the roush/saleen mustangs. the one that was available in the states is teh on nismo is referring to. i know a friend of j9fd3s owns or used to own one. you can try and contact him for info about it.

The only other information I have is that the car was bought off the yard like this as a new Jap import. I doubt anything would have been done to it here in NZ at all. My girl seems to remember the spoiler running along the top of the back window as well as down the sides and around where the standard spoiler would run. Oh and it was auto.

LOL Nope.. I am 100% Right. I've seen the Blue/White car, it's just some custom job.
