...why my lovely TII now has decided to start flooding when I leave it outside overnight?

It will NOT unflood using just the fuse method.

You have to use the pull plugs/crank over/inject oil into plug holes/reassemble and start method.

Twice this week it has failed me for the first times ever when I really needed it.

Hopefully its just simple maintenance that ive been lax on lately.

Needs tune up (TPS and other various engine sensors havent been set to spec in forever plus some fuel system cleaner couldnt hurt)

plugs are recent (about 2,000 miles old)

injectors rebuilt at about 88k

TPS = POS (relatively at least, this one is a POS compared to what one new from Mazda already is)

Anyone?

That's peculiar. Mine is worst on hot re-starts. I assume it's fully warmed up when you park it?

You could try the crossover pressure bleed but you really shouldn't need it if your injectors were properly cleaned recently.

Is it really flooding? Could it be something else? How's the compression?

You might also pull a plug just to see what it looks like.

Well, he did say they were "rebuilt" at 88k. That's not to say they couldn't still be the problem.

Thats ok Turbo II, but thanks anyways.

The problem has only happened after sitting outside overnight the only two times I've done that in the past week so the engine is definitely dead cold.

I'm going to do a full tune up, run redline fuel system cleaner through, and some other things to try seeing what the problem is.

I do hope it isnt true that these cars have a 100k fall apart switch.
