Texas.Twister

The drivers side mirror shakes a lot in the housing. I'm sure it is the result of the door being shut so much more than the passenger side. Does anyone know if the mirror can be pulled apart to tighten it up? Also my dash lights start off dim and (usually) brighten up after about 10 or 20 minutes of running. I know there used to be posts on rebuilding it. I bought a rebuilt wiper switch from Icemark last year and was hoping to do the same with this one, but I understand that is no longer an option (RIP Mark).
