When i left the house this morning, I backed out the driveway and went to put my FC into 1st. When i did i pushed over and up, it went half way between Neutral and 1st and it went even further to the left almost laying against the e-brake and from there it got jammed, I almost never got it out. I'm wondering if the nylon sleeve at the bottom of the shifter is worn out? I may take it apart tomorrow and check. Anyone have any ideas? It's the first time it's done this and i've been careful not to do it again but occasionally i can feel it try to do it again now that I know where the spot is.

 

It could also be the shifter return spring is about to snap.

 

I'll pull it apart later and check that. It is a little sloppy in N but stays centered
