Where can one make or find this turbo? In terms of bnr's turbos what would this be close to? Do you happen to know the wheel dimensions ?

if it's the same as my to4e hybrid, a company called majestic turbo makes them in texas. You send them your s5 core (in good shape) and they modify it and rebuild it.
Yeah but its pretty stupid to pay some else to $500+ for a half of a REAL turbo... I'm just curious if you could piece it together yourself.

well, the nice thing about the hybrid is it uses all the stock stuff. I can use the stock coolant and oil lines, downpipe, intercooler, etc. Its a bolt on upgrade. This car didnt really need a full blown t04. The car is designed to just be a fast, comfy daily driver.

It would similar to a stage 1 bnr turbo. Stage 2 uses a super h wheel, Stage 3 uses a 60-1, and stage 4 is a 60-1 with your choice of exhuast wheel.

If you just want to familiarize yourself with the garret t04 compressor wheel specs:

http://64.225.76.178/catalog/comp_wheels.html

turbonetics has loads of great info on their site.

You could order the wheel and housing from them, and send it someplace to get it balanced for not too much money.

It took a lot of work. I think i worked on that system for almost 2 weeks straight. I used an FD power steering bracket, heavily modified. I cut out a bunch of material to get the stock PS to fit on the bracket. Then i had to have the FD pulley machined to fit on the tapered shaft. Then the pump had to properly spaced out to work with the cosmo belts. Its a major undertaking.

You cannot use and FD power steering pump either, its a completely different system than the FC and it won't work. Though it would have been soo much easier if they were the same!
