Well, I ment to take some photos for that "Motor setups" post I started a while ago..but it's been so damn cold lately you can't even step outside. Well, the snow finally melted and the temps reached 22 degress(YAY) so I went to change the oil in the protege, and then snapped some photos of the SE-X for a quick lil update....

In that pic, the only the got put on was the intake cone filter(thanks rxxtacy) the power steering pump, and I removed the rest of the emissions from the back firewall..it had already been taken off, or disconnected, but there were some clips and lines that I had to remove...I still have a bunch of cleaning up to do...I also installed the ignition and spark plugs...now I just need the oil lines and I'm gonna get a 16" efan too....

I don't remember if I showed this before or not...but this is a custom lil switch panel I made about a year ago...the closest to the driver is for fuel pump cutoff, the middle(and offset for safety) is the NOS arming switch, and the closest switch to the passenger is for my interior/ext neon lights(yea its ricey, but i dont care w/ 400hp backing it up)...it looks pretty good i think..but i may redo it later...

Final shot of the updates...this is just to show that even AFTER i get the motor running good...I still need to clean up my interior, lol. I have had this interior in & out at LEAST 3 times since this project began...and I do mean EVERYTHING was taken out...its not so bad now though...i just need to put my console back together and attach the headliner in a few places and put the passenger seat back in(yea right...)...

This is all for today..when the temps go up and i get my oil lines in and all...i'll get more pics...

holy ****, looks familiar, I had most of my interior out last month. Most people when they looked at the piles of parts and half the car in pieces were like, man what a nightmare. When you do it yourself and look at it, its no big deal.

So are you keeping your PS and AC?

You can see in the first pic that A/C was already removed, i took off EVERYTHING that had to do w/ a/c for weight reasons...not only do you gain the lil HP from it...but I thinkt he bigger advantage was the weight loss...the compressor, the lines and a lot of the dash interior plumbing...it had to be a big drop in lbs...the PS stays for now...cuz I still have to drive the car a lot for tuning reasons, but when everything is good to go, i'll pull it and swap to a manual rack...
