Well, the motor is ready to be pulled now. I disconnected the tranny, starter, oil lines and anything else that looked like it need to be...the only thing left is the clutch slave...its only two bolts though. I left the PS pump and bracket on for right now because I can't put a hood on it with that stuff tied off to the side...its a 5 min job though...so no biggie. I should have the motor out later this week I hope.

When pulling an engine, what do you have to take off? I would assume fuel lines, mounts, tranny, exhaust, electrical, etc... What other little details am I missing?

Just remember to drain all of the fluids. Don't forget to tie the transmission to the firewall so that it doesn't hang and ruin both the mount and clutch hose.

Yea, I've got the tranny on a jack stand w/ a wood(to prevent damage). The motor is still being held on by its mounts, which take about 15min to unbolt. The PS bracket is about the biggest pain.

The only other little things involved in pulling a motor are:

Disconnecting the starter(unless you pull the motor w/ tranny)

Drain oil/coolant/fuel

Disconnect heater hose

you CAN remove the radiator...but that depends on how good u r

if you pull the motor & tranny together...you have to remove the radiator

people new to pulling a motor should label everything! Oh, and label before disconnecting...it makes it easier.

Disconnecting oil lines can be somewhat of a pain. I just disconnect them from the cooler instead of the motor.

Removing the plastic scratch guard under the motor.

Removing hood.

I think that about covers all the little stuff...
