hey im pickin up a 88' vert and it has a bad transmission that will have to be swapped once i get the car so i need to know if its just a strait forward swap or if there is some obstacles. then also im goin to be pullin my s5 engine most likely to do a rebuild and street port and was wonderin what it would take to put that in the vert. that will be later tho. so i mainly need info about the transmission swap. would it be easier to put both the engine and trans in at the same time and then take the engine out later to rebuile and port or just swap trannies for now and later swap engines?

trans will go right in, you do need the trans mount from the s5.



the engine will go right in, electronics are different though, so its best to keep it simple and just use the block
