Just as the title says..

I believe the bogging out issue is cause by vacuum line issues. My friend tired to install a boost gauge and I think he may have mixed up lines. When we first installed it, we didn't drive it, all we did was rev it up in the drive way. It read vac. just fine and the car didn't bog out at all. Now that we went to drive it, the car will start to bog around 4k and will backfire when it starts to decelerate.

*The boost gauge was hooked into a vacuum line on the fuel pressure regulator... It also appears that we are missing lines?

There was about a 3 - 4 week period when we had the water pump off and the car just sat while we did a few other things.

-Removed air pump/installed block off plate on the UIM

-Made a custom TID

-Installed Racing Beat double sheave alternator pulley

-Few other odds-n-ends

Also today, we installed an Apex'i S-AFC, but the car was still bogging before that so I don't think that's the issue.

The engine is a 91 TII from Japan. (I only say that because the other forum says it makes a difference.)

Sorry, I couldn't get the camera to focus correctly.

The first picture is the fuel pressure regulator. I can't figure out what hose connects onto it.

Another blurry picture of 3 hoses that run from the front of the UIM (I think).

Any help you can give is really appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

rant!

the nipples in the manifold do different things. if you do not want to look at the diagram....

the FPR needs a nipple that sees vacuum AND boost. this is SUPER IMPORTANT. everybody gets it wrong. pick one that sees no boost, and it runs lean up top = boom.

for the boost/pressure/map sensor i use the one under the BAC valve, on an s5 its a test port, Teeing in a boost gauge here is fine.

i forget where the bypass/blowoff valve line goes, i wanna say it gets its own nipple....

there is also a line from the injectors on the Lower intake to the back of the manifold, not critical, but it should be there IMO

so now i just need to figure out which line to hook onto the fpr.. this is what i think is going to be the hard part.

ok, apparently, vacuum lines can just go missing... i can't find a hose to hook onto the fpr that isn't already being used.

i don't get it... i really don't.
