S4 Turbo Tii Setup Onto An S5 Motor
if i bought an s4 and swapped all of the parts off of the s4 turbo 2 to my s5 n/a would eveything line up and bolt up. the turbo 2 i found has a blown apex seal but everythin else is in good shape. he even has a racing beat exhaust.
The n/a to turbo conversion is not as simple as bolting on a turbo. The engines are inherently different in terms of compression ratio, number of ports, ECU, fuel pump, injectors, etc. etc.
That's not to say it can't be done, but if you are new to RX-7's, you would probably have better luck replacing your blown motor with a stock replacement and verify that everything is working properly before doing any more mods. The best place to start building a turbo rotary is with a car that was turbocharged to begin with.
There are numerous threads on this forum that address this very topic. Good luck.
Edit: Excuse me. I just re-read your post. I see that it is the turbo II that has a blown seal. Unless you want TWO RX-7's, I would leave it alone.
