I have an S5 N/A that I am currently rebuilding. The tranny in the S5 is shot. I have a tranny from an S4 TII the driveshaft and the differential. I also have the flywheel and counterweight for the swap. Is there anything else that I need? I have seen the done for an S4 N/A, but do not know if everything is the same for an S5 N/A. Any help would be appreciated.

Mazdatrix has a custom driveshaft for sale that lets you use the TII tranny to the N/A rear end

Yes you do have to mess with the flywheel, the TII tranny needs the TII clutch, and the TII clutch is larger then the N/A one.

I've done this swap myself. You need:

TII flywheel (if you decide to go lightweight you will need a auto trans counterweight)

TII pressure plate

TII clutch

TII Starter

TII clutch slave cyl

TII transmission (duh!)

From here you can use the Mazdatrix driveshaft or use the TII driveshaft with the rear end. I went this route and used all TII stuff including halfshafts.

TII flywheel teeth have to match up with the TII starter teeth and the n/a starter doesn't bolt onto the TII tranny...
