hey im a newbie just signed up im also on rx7club shopping for many parts maybe someone can help me out and other new rx7 owners. what does fc, rb and all the other acronyms stand for? its probably a stupic question but well i dont know

 

FC is a chassis code. Every car has one.



RX7 wise, FB is a first gen RX7, FC is a second gen, FD is a third gen.



RB I would mean Racing Beat. RE is re amemiya. MS is mazdaspeed.



Than you have engine components, AFM = air flow meter, CAS = crank angle sensor, MAP = manifold absolute presure sensor, OMP = oil metering pump



I am not sure what other ones there are that really mean anything

 

T2 = Turbo II model rx7. Available 87 to 91 in USA.

MAF = sometimes used instead of AFM, stands for Mass Air Flow Meter



SA/SB are sometimes referred to as well, these are just earlier chassis codes of the first gen(FB) cars.



FCD = Fuel cut Defender



LSD = Limited Slip Differential



TB = Throttle Body



UIM = Upper intake manifold



LIM = Lower intake manifold



ITB = Individual Throttle Bodies
