Zero rust is a product, not a condition.

Quite a few people, including myself, have switched from POR15 to zero rust.

Its easier to apply, and in my opinion, much harder to remove from properly prepared metal.



I am thinking of doing a test on it. Scuff a piece of sheet metal, and coat zero-rust on half of it. Place the sheet of metal into salt water, and apply DC voltage to the sheet metal and the salt-ion solution. Should form rust VERY rapidly. Leave the systen running for a month or so, and then check back to see if any rust got through the paint.



Any better/simpler tests possible?

Sounds quite impressive, i'll take a look at that link in as soon as i finish this. I'll probly answer my own question when I visit the site, but is this product special order from the site or can i get it at a auto store some where? just so I know.

call me an idiot if you will, but I didn't see where you could find it as in what stores or how to through the web page.

Today the first words from the mouth of the machanic when picking up the car was "get under the car clean up the rust and undercoat." Then he went on and told me about the work he on the car.

Most auto paint suppliers can get it for you... something like $50 per gallon. Also available in spray cans for $6 or so per can.



Call some body shops; they should be able to hook you up.



I buy mine locally through a tool store thats sells Nason (Cheap Dupont) auto paint.
