Thumbs up

1988 Turbo II. The car is running WAY too rich. It runs fine, but the plugs continually foul black. If you stand near the exhaust stream, you smell like gas for the rest of the day.

New Plugs (NGK)

New Wires

Compression OK

Fuel Running & Hold Pressure OK

New Oxygen Sensor

New Air Filter

New Fuel Filter

Injectors Professionally Cleaned, Flow & Leak Tested

Switch tied to the fuel pump relay to shut off fuel supply

Idle speed drops when un-plugging the BAC valve

Is it possible to adjust the mixture somewhere?

The car will also NOT start when it is hot under any circumstances, starts right back up after 1/2 hour or so. Please help.

Fixing your idle mixture is possible. Any other time, its a function of the ECU.

idle mix is a function of the Variable Resistor, Air mix screw (bac).

next to the boost pressure sensor is the idle a/f mixture adjustment. the one one the BAC is for adjusting the idle speed

if its all the way one way or the other, you have problems like a vacuum leak
