RP is all I run. 10w30 in the engine, 70w90 in the rear, and some in the transmission as well. Forgot the weight in the tranny though.

I put rotten dinosaur corpses in the gearbox and diff of my car. How many tenths will I pick up in the 1/4 if I switch over to the synthetic stuff??? Should I change it? I think I used Valvoline gear oil, and I replaced it back in 2001. It's probably got all of about 1000 miles on it. Car is garaged. Driven about once a month.

Am I the only one that heard some **** about RP being generic oil with a fancy name? Didn't ELF call them out on that and RP didn't defend themselves or something?

My bad guys, that was over GEAR OIL, not engine oil. Apparently RP is mediocre driveline oil, but good engine oil.

i seen a dyno comparison a while back. they changed the engine oil, tranny and diff fluid, and added that ICE stuff to the radiator. it added 8 WHP. yeah, 8 to the wheels. some 1000 dollar exhausts dont do that.

this was on a camaro. i dont know if it was true. i seen it on one of the muscle car shows on speed. so who knows...

I personally use Mobile One in all of my vehicles. I figure they have more development dollars and it used by some of the top vehicle manufactures.

I figure it's worth the extra cost for extra insurance. Besides I drive the **** out of my cars. The drawback is you pretty much have to do your own oil changes. The wifes Hemi, My 350z, My Project Zuki (13BT), and my daughters Hyundai. Makes for a lot of oil changing.
