I'll post more pics when I get the car here to the house, you guys will like it, and still not believe I only paid $500

Sounds like one of the stories you always hear of the guy that finds the corvette in the house of some old lady that says its her sons that died in Vietnam right?

Honestly the guy I am buying it from does not know anything about rotaries, he drove it once before it quit running and before it was GIVEN to him. He was planning on the V8 swap and 9" rear in the car, He knows of rotaries, but not about rotaries. He said the owner had called a shop, dunno which one, and they had quoted $2000 to get the car running based on the description the kid had said. I started laughing, for $2000 I could put a standalone in the car.

I am really undecided right now, the car has a sunroof, and I want to drag it. I have 2 86 base models and I would rather have the solid roof car. I am damn glad I don't have to worry about T-tops. The undecisiveness comes from the modifications to a beautiful car. I never have believed cutting up a good car for drag racing. Depending on the problem with getting it running I may sell the car to a better home. Why you ask? I would really hate to see this car damaged by the modifications needed for me to run it. The funds from the sale of the car would fund the drivetrain I would need for my 86 and my other modifications. Seriously the car is worth 5x what I paid for it (if running) I would rather see the car get a nice home and go to somebody that would enjoy it a lot more than I would in its present condition.

All of this is still speculation, there is a bit of troubleshooting I need to do before I make my mind up. As we all know the FC is a hard car to find in pristine condition. A find like this is almost unheard of. If I do sell the car the new owner will see all the receipts for the car as I did, so they will know exactly what has been done to the car. The car itself did not sell me on it, the receipts did.

On a side note, if you look in the picture of the dashboard there is a Racing beat boost gauge just to the right under the colum, on it is a button of some type, anybody have a clue what it is for?
