My reverse lights are not connected.

If I remove the part around the gear stick there is a wire but its not connected to anything and I can't find anything it would join to.

Does anyone know where these wires would be? the gear box was removed when my engine was rebuilt.

Thanks

The reverse switch is on the transmission itself by the propeller shaft I guess. If you pool under the car it is the switch on the drivers side that has like 4 wires coming out of it. I Just replaced mine because I had no reverse lights.

The wiring that operates the back-up lights is located at the rear of the trans, you will have to get under the car and replace the plug and connect the new wiring.

Also check that the wiring that connect to the harness didn't break from being old or get cut somehow

mazda part number is 8130-17-640D, list price is $32.80... quoted from j9fd3s.
