the new formula mazda cars are putting, i think he said 240hp to the ground. they had one this weekend, it should fit into an fc no problem.

the problem is the drive by wire throttle bodies

from what i heard the renesis is smaller than the 13b. it would be cool to have one in a first gen with a turbo. the drive by wire might have to go though.

we saw one in a car, it looked like a '78, 13b to me, until i saw the plastic intake, and the 3 tube header

I dunno, I think I want the renesis for my next engine related project. Who cares about the stock ECU, just get a TEC3. The renesis is pimp according to specs https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Yeah, it seems good, but I just wish that people would think about ALL of the costs before they start. Who knows if the RX-7 transmissions will bolt right up to it? Then there are the flywheel/counterweight issues.

They're using the drive by wire stuff? That's cool. It can probably be controlled somehow with an auxiliary output that depends on a TPS, but who knows.

tunnel vision will bite you in the ass everytime...

I'm with Turbo II at this point, a 20B would be a far more attractive option, and the application has already been through R&D, most of the bugs have been worked out...a built 20B, TECIII, the correct running gear and what not, youve got a sweet ride to roll around in.

Let the the BIG MONEY boys work out the bugs on the Renesis...

i'd love a 20B i already have a tec III https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
