My sunroof had never worked since I bought the car, even with the

manual overide. So last night I removed the whole thing, took about

an hour with a friend.

Anyway, I discovered that the little tracks that run inside that copper (i think)

pipe are wrecked.. stripped in a couple of places, but overall, they are just stuffed!

So I was wondering if I can just order a new track section (you'll see what I mean by the photos), or do I need the whole sunroof assembly?

Thanks https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif

I am pretty sure that you can get the replacement pieces from a mazda dealership. Or contact mazdarecycling and get an entire replacement.

Does anyone know the part number for the replacement track assembly then?

pengaru 08-17-2003 02:39 AM

sorry I don't know the part # you want but could you do us a favor and weigh that whole assembly before you put it back in the car? would be much appreciated, thanks.

I did the same thing bought a new assembly off ebay cleaned it up lubed it, cost me $40 for the assembly. I dunno what they cost from MAzda.

the parts are super hard to look up, and that whole assembly is really complex and its hard to get it working right again once you have it apart. i would put it back and pretend you dont have a sunroof
