The bonus I planned to give joe will come to him. I had always planned to compinsate Joe. I just don't have all the money put together right now but as promised there will be given money payment to Joe. But first I have to get myself treading water financially before I can pay Joe. Im not saying swimming laps, just treading. I say that because at the moment I am doing all I can to keep from sinking, once spring comes and the pains of winter end, I'll have payment for Joe. Maybe even March, if all goes as planned. All in all, I didn't even know that Joe was upset about not being paid yet. I thought he was upset over different issues, not relating to money.

by the way I went to back the car out of the garage yesterday and the clutch Jamed in nuetral. IT went in to reverse ok, But when I went to put it into first, It wouldn't go no matter what I tryed. I went as far as lifting my foot of the clutch completely, and putting the clutch back down all the way and the shifter wouldn't go into any gear not even back into reverse. Im going to check the fluid levels again. I refilled the Clutch resevoir once already last Thursday. I can only imagine that unless its leaking fluid (which there was no fluids on the cardboard I placed under the vehicle to suggest leaking), it moved the fluid to the areas where needed.

No, you see, I think you're missing the point.

Joe, after doing all this work (And myself even), just don't feel all that appreciated in the work we did. This isn't satisfied by money alone, heck, if you just threw him $1500 and acted the same way you have been, I'd still have something to say.

It's when you'd rather criticize and scruitinize about when joe is coming back up, impatiently, and wonder if, when you give him money toward car parts, if he'll use it for himself...and then come on here and say its running and before saying thanks, you'd rather mention how you and your dad got it running and that it still has small problems.

I guess you're not that great at showing a lot of things, because it was and is; hard to feel appreciated.

But you know what, we're still your friends, which is why we did it despite all the groaning you did, and things you did to further delay this operation.

Again, I state, it's not about money. It can show a bit of "thank you", but I'd sooner rather see it in your attitude and talk of the car. It'd be nice to hear it perhaps from your parents too. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

He (Brett Vance) is till in the throws of battle. When all the problems go away then He can step back and show appreciation. I am not defending.... rather suggesting.

Sometimes working on other peoples stuff is gratifying in itself. A person takes the time to learn a skill in the form of a hobby would like to use that skill just to confirm to himself that all he learned was not a fluke. The fact that a persons own motor may not need to be rebuilt and coupled with the fact that that person may not have the money/facility/car to work on, is why someone may go and spend time/money on somebody elses motor.

Gratification comes in many forms.

Gratification comes in many forms.

True that

By the way Brett, I have no beef. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/cool.png
