Doing the work yourself $400, having it rebuilt $2000. Depending on what options for seals and porting you go with.

I'd like to know too. A good "stock" rebuild will cost you close to $1000 in parts. That's assuming that the rotors and housings are still good.

You can get all the seals you need from atkins(and on ebay) for 400 or so...the 400 is assuming you don't need to replace a housing, rotor, or any gears...its a SIMPLE rebuild...thats why I said 400 to 2000 depending on who does the work, what the motor needs, etc. If you just cracked an APEX seal...then a simple seal kit is all you'll need...

The $400 Atkins kit would usually do the job, but if you buy ALL of the seals on the rotors/housings it will be quite a bit more. I'm not trying to be a pain. I'm just letting him know.

your not a pain, i was just going from the cheapest(400 or so) to the more pricey route, i mean, if the guy really wants to rebuild his motor he'll spend something closer to $6000

Yeah, I know. You can get away with a very good rebuild with a streetport done for about $2500-$3000 with no frills.
