Rear Strut Bars....

Anyone that has one, did it improve the feel significantly? I want more rigidity, but I don't really want to cut into my carpet and strut towers. Do you think one of the strut tower bars up front that bolts to the firewall would be enough?

Yes, the mazdatrix bar/ support is well worth the money. Corksport sells body stiffeners that look like they will help out a lot. Rear strut tower bars look like a pain in the *** of you have to put anything into the hatch area.

yeah i noticed a big difference from my greddy front strut bars. Feels more stable. I am thinking about getting the rear ones from CorkSport.com but i know you have to cut some of the rear sheet metal. but there nice get them and good luck

If the frontal impact is enough to reach the front struts you are going to be in a world of hurt anyway. But otherwise the triangulated front strut bar shouldn't change the way the car crashes very much.

i personally think teh strut bars are useless.
The only time they become useful is when youhave a suspension setup fully done, the strut bars will then complement you setup.
If you have the stock suspension stuff (ie bushings, shocks, springs, ball joints or what not) the strut bar is going to do nothing.
If youhave new bushings, coilovers and te works, adding the strut bar will then help.
Wihtout those items they just add to the ricer look

I believe the Mazdaspeed rear bar from Cork Sport requires no cutting. Or I could be dead wrong. It's also three times as much as the Cork Sport bar. Ouch!
Either way, having a rear strut bar in my car wouldn't bother me. It'd be right behind the cargo cover, so it shouldn't make loading a pain. Rather than if there wasn't a cargo cover, it would intrude into storage space.
