Hey, Im working on a final project for class, Im basically doing a stress/strain analysis on the DTSS rear suspension. Does anyone know what the stock rear suspension spring rate is, or while im asking, what the equivalent spring rate, modus of elasticity, or durometer for the DTSS bushing is? And since this thread is useless without pics,

Stock is 90 i believe.

no idea on durometer. But it would be some sorta stiff rubber that would be commonly used in automotive.

Thanks for the info... but 90 what? newtons/meter, lbs/inch? Id assume metric since it wasnt designed etc in the US, but you never know.

lbs? thats not a spring rate then; it has to vary with deflection distance. id assume lbs per inch, since then it fits the eq F=kx, but if it is 90, then for a car that weighs 3300 lbs, thats about 825 lb per wheel, and at 90 lb/s per inch, thatd be about 10 inches of spring travel (so maybe 12 of wheel travel) just to unload the suspension. It seems a little bit low to me.

Oh? where should it be? I didnt really measure it out, and all I really had to work with were some overhead sketches.
