Rear Hatch Struts?

I have been looking all over the net for rear hatch struts (89 FC) and can not find them anywhere. Do I have to buy at the dealer? Can I fix the one I have? Any suggestions guys?

u can order them from autozone they are called might lifts they cost about $15-$20 each

they only sell the struts for the 1st gen

any auto parts store sells them, usually MOTORMITE is the brand.

i checked, they dont have any for the 2nd gen, only first gen's. the 2nd gen's are too complicated. it sucks, ive had to resort to using an umbrella to hold the hatch up while i put in the groceries.

dealer has them but they are over $100 each

Check this place.

I saw a set on there today that were apparently for a 2nd gen and very reasonably priced. They are listed under the parts section as hatch shocks and price is $10 for the set.
