Well I'd start by gettinng full exhaust on your car, either put one together yourself, or buy one from mazdatrix.

With a turbo engine, you have more hp potential than a SC. Plus a good turbo set up has way more flexability than a SC. But with a SC there is no lag.

big yellow one right. with those i probably get 20 to 30 more hp :baaaa:

Quick way to about 275HP all motor is this:

Mega street port

680cc injectors or larger

FPR

Custom 3" intake duct w/ ram air in front of the radiator

Fuel controller

Ported manifolds https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

Dual in/out headers

Dual all the way back

wired sixth ports, etc

make sure your oil stays cold, and fuel stays up...I know a kid that had this setup on his '89 GTU and was running low 13s NA with mostly full interior.

If you want to stay all motor...I suggest a NA cosmo motor instead...BIG ports on those suckers https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Take a look at this web page, they explain the differences between some portings and what you should expect from them. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/happy.png

Corksport sells a real nice cat-back, and it is only $289. :thumbs-up: You can check out Rx7.com. Or (of course)Mazdatrix

Not that i would want to stay all motor (faster is better right) but where could i get a cosmo motor and how much trouble would it be to put in?

also, couple more questions:

what is an FPR?

i thought N/A motors didn't like abunch of fuel?

how different is the cosmo from the 13b?

how does wireing the 6 port open help, i thought that while closed at low rpms i got more torque?

and as always thanks for the help, you guys are awesome :bigok:

oh and im thinking of converting my car to saki https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/spam.gif

In fact, it helps when they open too late or not at all so we wire them open to solve the problem. Yeah, you're right about the very low end torque but it doesn't make a difference on a hard acceleration since you keep it over that rpm. Although it does make a difference on fuel economy and torque when cruising. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
