my stick ratles and vibrates but theres something else too. it sound like its coming from the dash and i think its the speedometer cable? they were out at all? what rattles on your guys car? mine is a 88 GXL with 70,000 miles if that helps,5 speed,piece

Mine does too, needs the bushings replaced which I'll get to fairly soon(tm) Reallll sloppy shifting as well.



As far as the spedo cable goes, I've heard one rattle, squeal, shreik, buzz and make any number of other oddball noises so it's possible

 

Sounds like you need new shifter bushings, and maybe a new throwout bearing.



Everything rattles on the vert. The vibration from the exhaust rattles all sorts of **** in my dash, kinda funny though, different thing will rattle at different rpms (as the exhaust tone changes).
