damn sounds really dangerous how do i unbolt it without the spring coming to my face? can i point it at somewthing while using something to unbolt the top part?

Since you don't do this regularly, I would highly recommend taking a trip to the store, and either renting spring compressors (IT'S FREE!!!!), or buying your own (~$20-$30). It's better than harming yourself or someone/something else.

Heres another option without a spring compressor. BEFORE you jack up the car, remove the center nut on the shocks. Then jack it up, and watch as your springs are megically decompressed dompletely. Unbolt the struts, take the spring off the strut, put new spring on, and start to lower the car, making sure the strut lines up with the strut top so you dont **** anything up.

No spring compressors.



we did it the ghetto way with 10 hose clamps...hahaha



money saved.

Where did you buy your tanabe's? How much?



How do you like em? What kinda lowering did you notice?

Tanabes were 169 in optauto.com, 180with ship.



i luv em. theyre progressive springs. it lowered about 1.25"-1.25"
